I arrived at Beth's place and played her "Bad Jelly The Witch". I think she enjoyed it, even if she did think it was a little odd. After that we had dinner at Cafe Diem. We still had plenty of time before the movie, so we popped into The Highlander for a drink.

I enjoyed the film. It was a Star Wars film, and so I expected little more from it than neat special effects and a fairly simple storyline. A was rewarded with both. I disliked certain of the "potentially racially stereotyped" characters, but aside from that I thought the film was great. I'm definitely looking forward to the next one.

An Offer That Just Can't Be Refused

"We're" going to the Clermont again. Exciting, eh? "We're" actually going this Wednesday (being tomorrow), at 11ish. If you know where I live, well, show up there around 10:30ish. If you don't know where I live, desperately want to go to the Clermont, but have this intense fear of going by yourself, write me a personal e-mail and I'll tell you where I live.

Unfortunately, this is a 21+ event. Bria (being the hardcore doll that she is), tried to go last time, got carded, and well, her card didn't say the right thing. The first time we went, we did not get carded, so if you're in the neighborhood, underage, and want to try, go for it.

We'd love to have you.

Like I said, 11ish, tomorrow, Wednesday night.

Of course, I started at the Local with Jesse, because that's just the way we do things around here, you know. And then when we were finished, we went down to Pandora's Box.

Spectremen, Flowers for Luci, Body Bag Boy at Dottie's.

Being the regulars that we are, Jesse and I begin our evening at our second home - The Local. Later tin the evening we decide to check out the bands at Dotties, which turns out to be a rather splendid idea, as this is yet another great local gig.

We don't stay for the entire Flowers show, due to a couple of friends saying that they are going to the Vault. This might not be a big issue, except that Jesse has taken a fancy to a companion of the aforementioned friends. So off to the Vault we go!

Finished Voltaire's "Candide." This was great. I'd love to read it in the original French, but, alas, my French skills are not up to the task. Still, the translation I read was brilliant.
